MANDATORY REPORTING

Every member of our staff is a Mandatory Reporter. A Mandatory Reporter is someone who has an obligation to report anything that may be consider sexual, physical or mental abuse of a child. Please use the link below to take this course. After completing the course please send a copy of your training certificate (screen shot or PDF are both acceptable) and email to tamara.smalley@navigators.org) Click Here to take the course

 

CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION

If your current certification is expired or you have never taken a course before, please complete the course in the link below! We will work on getting you an in-person course with Deanne later on to fully certify you. In order to keep everyone on our property safe you are also required to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification. If you are already certified it must be current through the last day of camp (August 7th). Due to concerns with Covid-19 many in-person classes have been cancelled. Please take this online course in-lieu of an in-person course. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Complete the Release of Liability Form. Click here to fill out the form.


You will first be asked to enter your full name and your email address. After that, follow these steps:
1. You’ll just have to put your initials in this first box.

2. You will sign, type your name, and then select the date of which you are signing the document

3. In the first Minor Name and DBO put “N/A” for both!
4. The Family of: Put your First and Last name here!

5. Select whether you agree or disagree.

6. You will sign, type your name, and then select the date of which you are signing the document

Please email tamara.smalley@navigators.org when you have completed your form so she can verify that it was completed!

*After completing the form you should receive a confirmation in your email.

 

CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM

After clicking on the link, fill in your identifying information (name & email address). Then watched the video(s).  There will be a five question quiz at the end of each course.  After you complete the quiz, hit the submit button and you are done.      

 

DRIVER'S AUTHORIZATION

All Eagle Lake staff are required by our parent company, The Navigators, to take the defensive driving course (if you have been previously employed by The Navigators and believe you have already taken the defensive driving course, please email tamara.smalley@navigators.org to verify).

 

There are 3 parts to this training:

  2. Defensive Driving Course

    1. Go to Lezage Driver Training: http://www.lezage.com/login.cfm?dp=34

    2. Employee Access Code: defx9agh

    3. Please complete the Defensive Driving Noncommercial Motorist Course

    4. Click the Finish button, and enter your legal first and last name. (We match it with your driver application.)

  3. Large Vehicle Training (only if you are 21 and over)

    3. Please complete the 12-Passenger Van Course

    4. Click the Finish button, and enter your legal first and last name. (We match it with your driver application.)

STANDARD PRECAUTIONS: ONLY Rez, Crew, Excursions, DCGE & DCFH need to complete this

The state of Colorado requires all licensed facilities to be trained in standard precautions. Click Here to take the course online. 

  • To complete this course you will need to create an online account with PDIS to do that: use the link above, select get item, then sign-in or register, then Register Now, complete the registration forms.

    • In the Account Details section you do not need to check that you are a resident of Colorado if you are not

    • When you get to the Demographics section please put El Paso as county of residence

    • When you get to the Current Employer section please select Employed

      • County: El Paso

      • College County: If in college and that college is not in Colorado there is an Out of State option hidden in the alphabetical county list

      • In the Next drop down: scroll down and select Eagle Lake Day Camp (DCGE/FH) or Eagle Lake Camp (Overnight)

    • When you get to the Professional Role section please select School-Aged Professional then select Save

FINGERPRINTING: ONLY Rez, Crew, Excursions, DCGE & DCFH need to complete this

All of Eagle Lake's state licensed facilities are required by the state to be fingerprinted and background checked at the State and Federal level. In order to accomplish this please do the following:

  • Click here to register for a fingerprinting appointment (If currently in CO)

    • Facility CBI Account Number: CONCJ4555 ​

    • Select The Navigators

    • Day Care License #

      • OVERNIGHT STAFF: 47726​

      • DAY CAMP STAFF: 1526073​​

    • When asked if you have an Authorization Code select Yes

    • When prompted for your Authorization Code click here to receive one

    • Date & Location: Pick a convenient time for you to get fingerprinted on your own time. Can't get fingerprinted before you arrive at camp? Contact your director.

TRAIL BACKGROUND CHECK: ONLY Rez, Crew, Excursions, DCGE & DCFH need to complete this

Complete the TRAILS Background Screening Form. You do not need to mail this to the address listed on the form or cover the cost of the background check. Once you successfully complete the form electronically, Eagle Lake will process it for you. Click here to complete the form. A couple of important notes about this form:

  • If you have not used any other names previously, type out “none” in that box. That box must have either “none” or additional names you’ve used.

  • If you have not lived at your current address for 10 years or longer you must list each additional address and move-in/move-out date. There is one additional spot in the form. If you have additional addresses, please type those up in a different document and send them to tamara.smalley@navigators.org.

  • The signature in Section E MUST be a click-and-draw signature with your mouse/touchpad. You must NOT type your signature. You will be asked to recomplete the form if you type your signature as the state will not accept that as a signature.

  • Ensure that the date you put next to your signature is the date of which you are signing the document.

 

MED ADMIN TRAINING: ONLY Med Staff, Safety & Security Leaders, Excursions, Crew PCs, and DCGE/DCFH PCs need to complete this

In order to administer medication to campers you are required to take this online course. Click HERE to take the course online.

  • This is part one of a two part training. Part two will take place during Orientation.

  • There will be a test portion at the end of this training, you have two opportunities to get 80% of higher to pass.

  • If you do not pass you will need to take an in-person class when you arrive for orientation.

 


INJURY PREVENTION: ONLY DCGE and DCFH staff need to complete this
